linux-hwe-6.5: work to unify linux and linux-hwe helper.
By unifying the helper is possible to track easier changes and work at one helper for both, also setting a known to work template to base it from on Trisquel 12.0, Ecne.
Pending task: build udebs on linux-hwe-6.5-0-17 and forward.

Thank you! Now it works like I wanted
You are almost done!
As mentioned in my previous comment:
the first line should be enough to disable touchpad tapping and scrolling while typing.
You seem to want more: you also want pointer movements to be disabled. In that case you should not use the "-t" option. So the line you actually want to add is this one: @syndaemon -i 1 -K -R -d
. I believe this should make your typing happier.
Hello! I don't know if I understood you or not. That's what I've done:
Thanks for the link. That guide says that you only need to run the command once. What follows is a detailed description of the options used in that command, so you know what you are doing if you decide to run it. The guide also tells you to install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
: "Syndaemon is installed as part of the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics package on Ubuntu."
So the proper how-to would probably look like this:
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
,syndaemon -i 1 -t -K -R -d
and/or add @syndaemon -i 1 -t -K -R -d
in your autostart file,Thank you for that suggestion anyway. It does improve usability for Mini on laptops, and it could be turned on/off easily through the lxsession-default-apps tool that is considered for inclusion in Trisquel 12 Hecknay.
I found these commands following this guide and the only thing I understood was what I reported in this thread... https://ostechnix.com/disable-touchpad-while-typing-in-ubuntu-using-syndaemon/
I install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
on Mini in order to get enhanced touchpad features. This also provides syndaemon
.
Not sure why you would need to run syndaemon
three times, the first line should be enough to disable touchpad tapping and scrolling while typing. It works on my system, so I am linking this to the lxsession-default-apps thread #30.
If you want it to run automatically when you start a session on your current Trisquel 11 Mini system, you can append this line to your ~/.config/lxsession/Trisquel-mini/autostart file:
@syndaemon -i 1 -t -K -R -d
Yes. It's about Trisquel Mini, I edited the thread. Thanks!
Is this about Trisquel Mini?
On a Trisquel 11 Aramo system, with "Disable touchpad while typing" checked in Control Center > Mouse, Touchpad tab, the behavior is as expected: the touchpad will only take input after some delay following the last key press.
It would be nice if in the next update of Trisquel mini when we open a blank document to write something the touchpad is disabled in order to not touch it by mistake...
This is a solution that I've found that must be activated in every session of Trisquel mini:
Now you will be able to type in a document without move by mistake your touchpad on your laptop. It was useful for me in order to study.
Regards.
